Medical Care, PLLC is a multi-specialty family practice clinic offering services in Family Practice, General Practice, Pediatrics, Gynecology, Internal Medicine, Acute Care, Orthopedics, and Radiology. Our staff of doctors, physician extenders, nurses, technicians and office staff provide the highest level of health care service to the Tri-Cities area.
Medical Care, PLLC was founded in 1986 by Dr. Arnold Hopland as a walk-in clinic in Elizabethton, TN. In 1997, we opened our first satellite office in Hampton, TN. As Medical Care continued to expand and add additional physicians and nurse practitioners, the need for additional space arose. In the summer of 2004, Medical Care opened it’s Johnson City office. This location allowed us to expand ancillary services including laboratory and radiology.
Our lab is moderately complex and CLIA certified. We have a full radiology department including: x-ray, CT, MRI, ultrasound, bone densitometry, and digital mammography.
We continued to grow in Elizabethton and moved into our current location at 1500 West Elk Ave, in July 2012. The additional space allowed Medical Care to add radiology services including; CT, X-Ray, ultra sound, DEXA and later 3D mammography. We also expanded our lab services and dispensary (in-house pharmacy).
Since opening the new office in Elizabethton, Medical Care has continued to grow adding additional providers and specialties including: Orthopedics, Gynecology, and expanding our Pediatrics department.
Medical Care is a Level 3 Recognized NCQA Patient-Centered Medical Home.
